The central focus of the Russian Language and Literature Week in London was the participation of leading Russian publishers and writers at the London Book Fair.
London Book Fair took place in Earls Court on 14-16 April 2008. In it’s 38th year, the LBF is one of the leading annual international forums for publishers, writers, literary critics, agents, and librarians – over 23,000 members of the global publishing community all together under one roof for three days! Many of the participants are those who actively influence the formation of social opinion all over the world.
This year, Academia Rossica initiated the first ever Russian stand at the London Book Fair.
The Russian Stand also presented an exciting programme of discussions and launches, introducing famous and new authors, literary prizes and unique publishing projects to the international publishing community.
We are currently in the process of organising the second Russian Literature week that will take place in April 2009, and are discussing the possibility of Russia being the Market Focus in 2011.
Academia Rossica is the official representative of London Book Fair in Russia. |
