Three new issues of ROSSICA out now!

Amidst the excitement of the Russian Market Focus at this year’s London Book Fair, ROSSICA, The International Review of Russian Culture, took a step into the future. Not only was the first ever commemorative double edition of ROSSICA launched, but, for the first time in over a decade in print, ROSSICA has dedicated an entire volume to poetry, exploring the contemporary impact of twentieth-century verse.  These unique volumes are available for purchase now.

ROSSICA 20, A Journey in Five Postcards, presents a whole new vision of the Russian poetic canon: 6 leading experts were invited to select 5 poems from the past which spoke to them in the present, be they classics or hidden gems. Published in fresh English translations with accompanying essays, these poems will challenge and delight all lovers of Russian poetry.

ROSSICA 21 and ROSSICA 22 are titled  A New Chapter to mark this year’s milestone celebration of Russian literature and the renaissance of Russian prose. Continuing Academia Rossica’s mission to bring the best of contemporary Russian fiction to an English audience, ROSSICA 21 features some of today’s biggest names, including Vladimir Makanin, Olga Slavnikova and controversial new superstar Zakhar Prilepin. ROSSICA 22 features the same blend of established and emerging names, with extracts from new works by Mikhail Shishkin, Pavel Basinsky and ‘Queen of Russian Horror’ Anna Starobinets. ROSSICAs 21 and 22 are essential reading for anyone with an interest either in Russia or great new writing.
