The Art of Fear: The Music of Oppression and War 6 April – 9 June Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London SE1 8XX Dictators Stalin and Hitler may have played different political games, but they were unified in a desire for total censorship. This lack of free speech extended to composers and artists, whose music was questioned by the authorities and the government-run press.
