Tweet a Cosmonaut!
In celebration of Yuri Gagarin’s momentous flight into space 50 years ago next week, we are running a competition that is out of this world!
We’re giving you the chance to send a “spacetweet” to the cosmonauts aboard the International Space Station!
For one day only, Wednesday 6 April, tweet your book-related question for the cosmonauts using the #spacetweet hashtag to @AcademiaRossica to be in with a chance of winning!
We’ll be beaming the best book-related questions 230 miles into space to be answered via video by Russian cosmonauts aboard the International Space Station. The answers will be broadcast at the Russian Pavilion at The London Book Fair and broadcast online on the anniversary of Gagarin’s flight, 12th April.
Want to know what cosmonauts think of Sci-Fi? Whether any book in particular inspired them to go into space? Or if they ever argue about books during the long stays aboard the International Space Station? Now is your chance.
Entries can also be submitted in 140 characters or less to Academia Rossica’s Facebook Group or by emailing Daniela@academia-rossica.org
2 winning questions chosen from all questions received before 22:00 BST and the winner will be announced on Thursday 7 April.
“Spacetweet” is organised by Academia Rossica as part of the Russia Market Focus. The Russia Market Focus cultural programme for the London Book Fair is organised by their strategic partner, the British Council, and The Russian Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communication with their official partner Academia Rossica.
