Olga Slavnikova, acclaimed author of 2017 and Lighthearted, looks at why contemporary Russian writers opt against the realism of classic writers Tolstoy and Dostoevsky and instead continue in the line of Bulgakov and Platonov, expressing reality through a mix of fantasy and other genres
