Teresa Cherfas

Freelance Producer

biography

Teresa Cherfas is a freelance television and radio producer who specialises in historical and contemporary documentaries about Russia and the former Soviet Union. She most recently was joint series producer with George Carey on the 5-part BBC television's Russia - a Journey with Jonathan Dimbleby. A documentary for Channel 4, 'Babitsky's War' won an Amnesty International Media Award, and a Dispatches for Channel 4 on 'Beslan' won a BAFTA. Among the history documentaries Teresa has been involved in are the following: 'Stalin' ; 'Messengers from Moscow' ; 'Last of the Czars' ; and 'Catherine the Great'.
