The London Book Fair Russia Market Focus 2011 is a key opportunity to strengthen cultural and publishing relations between Russia and the whole world by bringing Russian writing and publishing to the fore of the international publishing community. December, 3. 4-6 pm, Press-center Reaching your Readers - Strategy and new technologies in publishing At Non/fictio№11 the representatives of the two UK publishing houses, Jeremy Ettinghausen, Pinguin UK and Kirsty Dunseath, Orion will run a round table discussion “Reaching your Readers - Strategy and new technologies in publishing”. The event is organized by The London Book Fair, Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications, British Council and Academia Rossica. New Opportunities for Russian publishers. During the discussion organised by The London Book Fair, Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications, British Council and Academia Rossica the participants will talk about the plans for the London Book Fair 2001 and Russia’s participation there. One of the key issues for the discussion will be promotion of Russian publishing to the international markets. UK writers at Non/fictio№11 Two UK writers are participating in Non/fictio№11. They will be talking about their latest works. Roma Tearne, who is a Sri Lankan born artist and writer living and working in Britain, will present her novel, Mosquito, which has been shortlisted for the 2007 Costa First Novel Award. Adam Foulds will talk about his novel The Quickening Maze, that was shortlisted for the 2009 Man Booker Prize.
