Rules and Regulations
(i) All entries must reach Academia Rossica on or before 10 March 2013. Entries received after this deadline will not be sent to the judges.
(ii) All candidates must be aged 24 or under on this day (10 March 2013) to be eligible to enter the competition.
(iii) Entrants must translate one of the three extracts in this brochure. Translations of any other work will not be considered. Only ONE entry will be accepted per entrant (including any submissions as part of a group). The extracts are all from books recently published in Russia to great acclaim, namely:
- Эдуард Лимонов, В Сырах
— Борис Акунин, Чёрный город
— Марина Степнова, Женщины Лазаря
(iv) Entries should be submitted electronically to ryta@academia-rossica.org with the subject line ‘RYTA submission’.
(v) Each entry must include:
· The translator’s name.
· The translator’s date of birth.
· The educational institution to which the translator is attached (if applicable).
(vi) Group translations are permitted. However, the name, date of birth, and educational institution of every translator must be included with the submission.
