Homage to Schumann

30 May 7.30 pm - St John’s Smith Square

St John’s celebrates Russian artistry at its finest, welcoming Moscow Conservatoire graduate and Viotti competition prize-winner, pianist Alexandar Ardakov. Ardakov presents Homage to Schumann, a concert showcasing Schumann’s Papillons, Symphonic Etudes, and the colourful Carnaval. For the second half of the programme, he invites singer Betty Makharinsky to join him in a performance of Five Songs on the words of Heinrich Heine.
